What’s in my Lunchbox?

As a flight attendant, I tend to eat a lot! Whether it be on the plane or on a layover with my crew!

My airline does not offer crew meals, and I don’t like to constantly buy food all of the time because the money tends to add up fast!

I also don’t like to always eat the snacks on our plane (which we are allowed to eat if we want!). So I bring a lunchbox with me on all of my trips!

9/20/2023 UPDATE: I have an updated list of items that I bring with me in my lunchbox listed on my Travel Resources page. Be sure to check it out if you want to see what I have been bringing with me on trips.

The Lunchbox

The lunchbox that I bring with me is the eBags Crew Cooler 2! My airline requires us to have a black lunchbox, so this is the one that I chose!

You can buy it on the eBags website for $49.99 (they do tend to go on sale!). You can go here to purchase it!

You can also purchase it on Amazon! Click here to check prices on Amazon!

I am not going to go into much detail about this lunchbox as I did a Video Review of this on my YouTube Channel! If you would like to know more, please feel free to ask in the comments and I will gladly answer any and all questions you have!

My Ice Packs

I like to bring an ice bag like this because it is refillable!

I bring this because I can add ice to it on the plane when I’m on the plane all day! I also like to add hot water to it when I get cold so that I can hold it and stay warm!

This isn’t the exact one that I use, but it’s the same style! You can purchase this exact one here, or you can go here to see some other options!

I also have one of these types of ice packs to help keep my food cold! I have had this one since I was younger, so I figured I would just use it since I already had it on hand!

This is not the exact ice pack that I use, but you get the idea! You can purchase this one on Amazon!

Mini Cooker

Now, I did not show this in the video because I did not have it with me on that trip! But I do bring this with me occasionally so I wanted to share it with you as well!

This is a Hot Logic Mini. It’s basically a portable stove!

Sometimes my hotel rooms don’t have a microwave and instead of leaving my room to go find one, I can just plug this in and put my food in it to heat it up! It can take a while to heat up your food, but it is a great alternative to a microwave if you don’t have one!

Meal delivery service is a great way to explore new meal options for your trips without all the planning as they already provide the instructions and ingredients based on your selection, helping you save time and energy. Consumers Advocate has put together a guide of the best meal delivery service options and what they offer.

The Containers

These are the containers I use to pack food in when I actually have time to meal prep! Since I didn’t have time to cook for this trip, I didn’t need to bring these containers. So although I did not show these in the video either, I still wanted to show you!

These meal prep containers fit perfectly into my lunchbox! I can pack 3 perfectly stacked and still have room to pack around them and on top!

These particular ones are a single compartment, but they also make a double compartment version as well!

These containers are Dishwasher, Microwave, and Freezer Safe! You can purchase them on Amazon here.

My Utensils

These are the plastic utensils I showed in the video that I said I got at IKEA.

They were $2.99 at my local IKEA, but you can purchase them on the website for a dollar less!

You can also purchase them from Amazon, but they cost a bit more. Click here if you want to purchase them from Amazon.

You can also buy a 36-pack of dishes (including the utensils) on Amazon here if you would like some additional cups and bowls.

There isn’t much else that I bring with me other than a reusable water bottle!

Video

Here is a video of me showing you what I brought with me on one of my past trips!

What do you bring in your lunchbox? I’d love to see what type of food you like to eat on trips!
